After the gig in Groningen last night which was absolutely amazing we ended up at a bar with the guys from AsInRebekkaMaria who supports us on the Dutch dates and it ended up as a pretty late and wet night ...
But around 5 am the bus left, only to take us to the next stop on the Dutch tour, UTRECHT !!!!&#¤%/¤#/!"%/!"#%/¤"%/!%/!#%/¤"&(%/¤%¤&"#¤!&%¤"()
Good stuff ! We already like it here and we're playing a rather big venue tomorrow called TIVOLI and there are few tickets left, as far as we're aware !
It was great to meet up with some Danes last night when we met the guys from AsInRebekkaMaria ... We really enjoyed their show and as far as we know they did too saying that "they loved the Alphabeat audience..!!!" But hey who doesn't ... We f*cking love you guys !
The gig in Groningen was completely sold out and the venue was super cool and looked like a big Auditorium with seats on the sides as in a big colosseum and a dancefloor in the middle and 10 meters of space behind the scene which made it a funny experience being on stage ...!

During the set last night Troels broke his kick pedal ... ! But Fraser fixed it using his key hanger ... That's intelligent back line work ! This blog is dedicated in the memory of Fraser's key hanger ... And Fraser !

The tour is over ...
It actually ended on Tuesday night at the hottest gig we played on the tour. We're not kidding when telling you guys that we almost died of heat that night. Anders Reinholdt had our Backliner, Fraser, to pour water into his mouth during Boyfriend because otherwise he wouldn't be capable of standing on his own feat ... Good stuff Leeds !!! You guys put a big fat dot at the end of the UK Tour and it has been pure pleasure being back there with you guys ! Thanks so much to all of you who supported us on the tour. never thought we would sell out the entire tour but we did, along with you guys ! EXCEEEEEEEEEEEELLENT !
Some of the cities we visited was the forth time as in Glasgow, some the first as in Coventry and some places like Brighton was a place we had waited for a long time to go back to ...
It's been more than 150 live gigs in a year ! It's crazy we know but we can't help ourselves ... We just love playing live ! And we love it even more after this tour !
So what happened on the tour?
Well ... We kicked off in Liverpool on October 20th at the sold out Academy. Feelings were high and we were extremely nervous ! New set, monday night, big audience and yeah ... Everything was just exciting that night ... We loved the poster:
After the show Pandering & the Golddiggers visited our backstage room and gave us big Smiley Lollipops and a bottle of Jack D. We knew where this tour was going ... : )
Newcastle the night after was the first Uni gig and probably the best one of them. We had a "Standing Ovation" (5 star review) in The Independent next to Oasis getting a guy sleeping in a chair ... Good stuff !
After the show this night our Belgian friends of Das Pop had left two of their massive silver balloons in our dressing room...
We owe Das Pop some balloons boys ... We're gonna go see them live at KOKO in Camden on Friday ... It's gonna be excellent ... You need bigger balloons though boys ... : )
The North was just great ... We enjoyed ourselves in Scotland ... As always and Glasgow was one of the best nights on the tour.

We thought people studied in Oxford? They seem to party a lot as well ... We'll be back ... !
Manchester was something we had been looking forward to for a very very very long time ... Within weeks the tickets for the Academy 2 were sold out and the gig was moved up to the impressive Academy 1 ! 2500 people went nuts in Manchester and we had fantastic time on stage. We had stolen some of Mikas lights actually lying around behind the stage and SG climbed the biggest front of house amp ever ... Perfect ! Get a picture of how big the venue was by looking at this pic while people where still getting through the doors while Pandering went on stage ...
During the tour we found out weird things about places in the UK. Did you know that it's now no longer legal to smoke in dark rooms in areas near Norwich.
This world is getting strange ! ... well ... it is ...
Then came the night we had looked most forward to do on the tour... London - Shepards Bush Empire ! The most wicked venue we've ever played ... Excellent sound and perfect surroundings ... AND an excellent audience !
Thanks so much to all of you guys for making this night a night we'll never forget... And thanks to the guy who had brought all the confetti in his pockets and threw it in the air near the end of the show ...
All in all this tour was just amaziiiiiiiing !
We had the best time of our lives every day, every night, every minute ! Thanks so much for being there for us people of the UK ! You made a dream come true ... We're still on tour though ... Counting days ... And we're in Holland today ... We had a splendid night in Leuven, BE, the other night and we can't wait to get on the stage in Groningen tonight ...
We're getting visit from Denmark as the support act for our dutch shows is AsInRebekkaMaria ... Good stuff !
TOUR DIARY - Day 42 "Two nights left of the UK TOUR!"
This blog is actaully still going strong ... Well not as strong as it could but we're still doing it ... And it's still done in GRRRREAT pleasure for you guys !
We've had a fab weekend ... On Friday night we played two gigs in Sheffield. First gig of the night was at the sold out Leadmill ... It was one of the better nights on the tour actually ... It was our 4th time in Sheffield, so it was great to be back at the Leadmill ... !
After that gig we packed everything down in a flash of lightning and went to the academy. There was a big Friday night party and we were the surprise act. Good stuff !
After the gig we were sad in the dressing room and a girl suddently opened the door. She had made a bet with a friend who didn't believe she could get a picture with us... To get to the dressing room she had to bribe a security guy and rugby tackle another one... In the end she had a pic and should have won £200 ... Lets just say that she was extremely drunk ... !!!
On Saturday night we played in Birmingham at the X-Mas light switch on ... A bit early as x mas is far from now but in a month ... Haha ... But it was good fun anyway !
Last night we played in one of the coolest venues on this tour. The Kasbah in Coventry. The owner, Dimitry, was a cool guy who had refurbished the entire venue in a kind of Aladin meets Santa's secret cave theme ! Excellent ...
Coventry was excellent all in all actually ... It was our first time ever in the city but we will difinetly be back for more ... We had a great time !

We are in Northampton today ... We've been to Southampton too ... What's the "ampton" between North and South? We would like to know ...
It is our second time in Northampton ... Last time was on the Wonky Pop Tour back in April and we played a place called Soundhaus or Purplehaus if you like. Tonights venue is called Roadmender and is quite bigger than the Soundhaus but it is still purple inside... We were wondering if there's a connection between the two?!? It is SOLD OUT like rest of the Tour ... We love touring the UK !!!

Last night we played in OXFORD ! It was our 3rd time in the city where Troels' mom used to study back in the 70s on a summercamp ... Exciting news for people who like news of no use ! The two times we've been there we've played the small room at the academy, but last night we sold out the big room ... And 3rd time was best time ever !!!! The crowd last night was ..... THE BEST CROWD ON THE TOUR ! You guys just went nuts and danced danced and danced ! Sweat was dripping of the ceiling and love was spread through the entire room through out the whole set ... We really really really enjoyed playing in Oxford last night and we can't wait to go back !
But you've all been good out there ... We've had great nights every night and you guys are the reason why we're doing this tour thing and why we have played more than 250 gigs through the last 2 years ! It doesn't really matter if its in front of 50 people in Cardiff at Barfly or if it's in Manchester in front of 2500 people who all know who Peter Schmeichel is ... Tonight we're in Southampton ...Playing a sold out University ... It's gonna be boss ! or maybe chief? Hmm ... It's gonna be good ... that's for sure, because it's sunday and people are hungover, ready for another hair of the dog or whatever you guys say ... : )
Bristol on Friday night was awesome ... We had a great Halloween night with you guys and we love Bristol ...! The whole city has got such a great atmosphere and it's just lovely to walk around on the hills and waste your time ... Thanks to Banksy for making the buildings even more interesting !
Last night we visited Plymouth for the first time ! The gig was sold out ... Surprise! This whole tour has and is in fact totally sold out and we're extremely happy about the fact ... It's great to know that the hard work touring non stop for more than a year in the UK pays off ! Thank you guys ! We had a chat with a university radio called something like You Wanna Play Radio...?!? Maybe ... ? Yeah something like that ... We had a great chat with 3 guys who clearly had been out for a party on Halloween ... But it was great to do a proper interview about lots of weird stuff and music instead of speaking about how fun it is that 3 of us in the band are named Anders ... Hah aha hahaha hahaha ahahah ahahahahahahaha ... isn't it silly ... 3 persons with the same name ! Ok ... You've had a laugh about that now right? XXXXXcellent ! But thanks to you guys at the uni radio for being original funny and cheesy ... And thanks so much for the home made Alphabeat mug and the Alphabetti Spaghetti ... !

We're sorry about our lack of potential in blog writing but it has just been going downhill ... Hasn't it? Seriously ...
The reason why is that the main editor/writer of this blog has crashed his computer and therefore has to write the blog on someone else's computer and people are not always willing to give away their computer for free ... This blog has costed the editor too many free massages, too much food, beer and honour ... That's why he is considering to quit his side job now ...

Tonight we're in Bristol though ... And Bristol is fucking awsome !!!!
